MSE Die Carts and Die Handling Products reduce manual labor by offering user friendly controls and electric/hydraulic power to retrieve, transport, and load dies into production machinery. By providing the power to retrieve, transport, and load dies, these products reduce set-up time and eliminate back injuries due to manhandling diesets. The time saved can be turned into added productivity increasing output and company profits. |
The MSE Die Carts and Die Handling Products eliminate the need to man-handle heavy dies. In so doing, they eliminate injuries associated with such handling. Reduced injuries means savings not only in insurance claims but also in lost production. |
The manually operated "Stacker" type Die Cart has many advantages over the competition: |
Sturdy and Compact size for use in restricted areas. |
Electric Push/Pull Bar for hands off transfer of dies.
|
Electrically controlled Raising & Lowering of die platform for storage and retrieval of dies.. |
Safe, efficient and highly dependable.
|
Generous range of lift heights. |
Powered by 12 Volt battery with built in battery charger. |
Ergonomic Hand Throttle control of all powered motions. |
Increase profits through reduced set-up time. |
Increase profits through reduced insurance claims due to personal injury. |
Die Rollers for easy transfer of dies. |
For larger dies or for dies that are moved via fork lift truck, we offer the DH series die handler as pictured below. This unit is equipped with a hydraulically operated push/pull bar that is operated via controls which are part of your fork lift. Your fork lift is used to transport both the DH Series Die Handler and the die from your die storage rack to the press. The fork lift can access the DH Series Die Handler from any vantage point as access holes can be located on all four sides if desirable. |

The sequence of operation is as follows: The fork lift operator would pick up the DH Series Die Handler and transport it to the die storage rack. The operator would line up the Die Handler with the die. He would then use the hand controls to advance the push/pull bar as close to the die as is possible. He then would attach a chain to the die and the push/pull bar to secure the die to the Die Handler. Once secured, the operator would use the hand controls to pull the die onto the Die Handler. Once the die is securely positioned on the Die Handler, the operator would transport the die to the production machine. The operator should line up the die with the production machine and use the hand controls to push the die from the Die Handler into the production machine. Once the die is securely in place, the safety chain should be removed from the die and the fork lift and Die Handler should be removed from the area. This sequence has little "hands on" by the operator and zero manual force to load and unload the die. |

This photo is of a Model MSE 3058 Die Cart with a die set and chain (wrapped around the die set). Also seen in the photo (to the right of the Die Cart) is a Hansford Die Handler which is used to separate dies and flip the upper half of the die for maintenance purposes. To the left of the Die Cart is a Hansford Keysetter which is used to cut keyways. |

POWERED WALK BEHIND DIE CARTS. |
The Powered Walk Behind Units are intended for dies that weigh in excess of 1500# up to 2500#. Since they are self powered, the operator does not have to manually push the die cart along the floor. He guides the powered unit via the "tiller handle". He then utilizes the push/pull device to load and unload the die. |
At right, is a full view of a Powered Walk Behind unit. Notice the full width rollers on the platform bed and the chain which is attached to the push/pull bar. The chain is wrapped around the die and secured to the push/pull bar on either side to pull the die onto the die cart. |
